why so many miles?

i followed the book rather than the tank sticker, like a fairy up to 500 miles, then like a tiger till 1000 mile just dont redline it everywhere!

Its tempting, there are two theories on breaking in engines, and i can see the merits of both of them, I think personally 1000miles is a hideous amount of mileage to run a bike in at....

Take two weeks off and go to Italy. That should take care of running in problem. Both of you will be better off for it.
