Thankfully never been involved with a biker, thou we did nearly have a head on with a guy on the Cat & Fiddle road many years ago, he came through a series of S's on the wrong side and i don't believe you could have got a fag packet between us.

Was one scary moment, Management and 2 youngsters in the car.

Been on my das for the last two days and nearly got taken out twice by white vans puling out of junctions, was a hairy experience, only been on the bike about 2 hours and not ridden previously for approx 25 years.

Rob.

It's hard to imagine what anybody could do to deserve being killed. What had they done to deserve it?

No, I have not *touching wood* knocked a biker off whilst in the car.

However, on day I was driving my gran to the hospital. Was in a line of traffic, with a car infront and a bike behind. The car infront of me indicated to turn right and braked gradually before stopping to allow a car to pass. Just as the car was begining to turn into the junction the eejit on the bike behind me then decided to try and do an overtake. Talk about dirty pants! I have no idea to this day how the bike managed to swerve back into the nearside.

It was very clearly the bike at fault in this instance. Scary stuff though!

not even got a car licence but a guy reversed into my bike knocking it over, told me he was a biker and chatted about his gsxr. he admited fault to me and reasured me that he would sort it as i was natuarally upset just turning 16 and getting my first rd bike.

he later claimed tht i rode into the bk of his van and as he wasnt claiming any damages the insurance case was closed. my insurance didnt give up tho and kept pushing. i eventually got 50-50 which worked in my favour, i got half the moeny i wanted which was actually about all it was going to cost to get the bike repaired, and kept my no claims as he wasnt claiming any damages. :D unfortunatly he lost his no claims, never mind :D

since then ive always fitted loud horns as he couldnt hear the std one resulting in the accident

I was under the impression a 50/50 means just that. Both parties are equally to blame and both lose their ncb if they claim on their own insurance or can you still claim on the others insurance in a 50/50?

Driving through France on my way back from Switzerland a drunk fell out in front of the truck and I stopped with him under the front bumper[No contact with said drunk]. Picked him up and sat him back on the chair of the pavement café. I went to drive on as no discerning damage to the drunk but I was stopped by a crowd of angry locals all gibbering away twenty to the dozen pointing at the rear of the truck. I stopped but the motorbike behind didn't, mangled mess of bike under the under-run bar of the trailer and a perfect impression of the "Angel of the North" on the back doors of the trailer. Nobody new about the drunk falling under the front and worse than that he started to wander off home so I'm trying to keep a hold on the drunk while being accosted by a load of hysterical French villagers wanting to know why I had slammed the anchors on.
The police and ambulance arrived along with the English teacher from the local secondary school an after about6 hours the decided it wasn't my fault.
Most of this time was taken up by waiting for the drunk to become sober enough to answer questions. The biker had a couple of broken ribs, broken jaw and collarbone but lived to tell the tale

I haven't knocked a two wheel rider off but I have run over a cyclist who had fallen blind drunk off his bike into my path on the A4 near Pangbourne. Lucky for me the car in front had swerved to miss him as he was toppling. I had nightmares about that for two years afterwards.
