Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
What a brilliant photo!
I reckon it should make the site home-page photo for September (even if not an SV) :p |
Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
I have already reprimanded him for his foolhardy one-wheeled exlpoits and I will slap his wrists for this too.
I vote this one: :toss: :D (I will be practising this in a car park soon). |
Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
Its awesome Treacle doing some trick that isnt involving him riding on one wheel

Seriously for a minute I think learning how to do things like no hands and hanging off in different ways help tune you in to your bike and help your balance and let you know just how stable they are.
Mr Bear's version of riding with his legs over the bars is quite funny. His legs don't go over the bars but stick out dead straight at 45 degrees to the bike while it looks like his bits are trapped in the fuel filler. |
Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
Darren, your correct. Pulling wheelies and being confident means that should you ever accidentally pull one, you'll be well placed to deal with it and not get scared. Simiilarly, by riding with no hands, you can learn to understand how simple body-weight distrubution and weighting of the footpegs can help turn a motorcycle

Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
I agree with you mate. I know some great riders who cant even take thier hands off the bars while going in a straight line. I do that all the time and i practice steering with no hands on empty roads too (wont do that in front of the bikesafe guy tho, lol)
But is a carpark big enough to get up to speed and stand up i wonder? The engine breaking on the SV might mean higher speeds need to be hit before standing up can occur. We'll go practice together if you know a suitable car park mate :0 |
Re: do you recognise this t/p-osser lol :)
only ever taken the hands off on the motorway slip road, having a bit of stretch.
and I've stood up on the pegs while holding the bars still to stretch the legs. Never tried the standing up with no hands... just may have to next time. |
