There is a scam going round, if someone asks you to dial #09 or 90 while they are talking to you DONT - some way they can access your SIM card apparently. Not sure how.

And for the record i'm on Asda mobile :lol: Cheapest PAYG and no anoying advertising text or promos about top up this much and get a zillion texts for free. And the use the O2 network hence the call. My handeset allows me to block numbers anyway so do most handsets i thought, no? |

Not particularly a myth just well out of context. It was a phreaking thing to get routed out to an external line from some switchboards meaning you could call whereever on whoevers switchboard it was' bill.
