Re: cash for gold
That ad just seems overly dodgey I admit but, she worked there for less than 6 months before she was fired. Of my experiance anyone who can get fired in less than 6 months really is tardy and disruptive. I dont value a word she says, wouldnt shock me if she was hoping for some kind of pay off.
Im no shakespear but that first comment by her!? How old is she? most 8yr olds have better understanding of speach than she does. "She [the friend] knew something was odd but it just sounded so good … When I sat down and told her everything that we did, you know, it was like, ‘Wow.' Like, she would have never thought, you know. So I was like, "Well, if she would have never thought, who else? Who else would have never thought?" wtf? |
Re: cash for gold
i sent my gold divorce bangle to a company (found their details on internet but they dont advertise on tv). I put the weight of the bangle in and they said they would send me x amount. I sent bangle off and 2 days later I got a cheque for £20 more than agreed. Money really helped with xmas. These companies always prey on those who are more needy.

Re: cash for gold
I know that is just the way our economic system works, but it's wierd to think that people exchange an actual commodity for pieces of paper.

Re: cash for gold
Even if they offered a good deal that bloody advert annoys me so much I wouldn't use them on principle!
It's the same with all 2nd hand people like this tbh, they prey on the desperate, it's the same with PC's. I've got a rig worth at least £400 2nd hand once re-formatted, best offer I got from PC shops was £20....., like wise some old games I have for the 360, CEX offered me 50p.....needless to say I'll clean the PC up myself and sell it for £400 as I'm not THAT desperate. |
Re: cash for gold
If you sell something at a price without bothering to look at what it's actually worth then you're a mug. I've no sympathy.
The advert is bloody annoying though, so they should be shot. |

Yeah, of course they deserve to get ripped off...for not wising up and realising that the world they now live in is nowhere near as trustworthy as it used to be. Completely their fault. :smt120 |

I'm pretty sure most OAPs have enough sense to know the world they live in now is very different to the world they grew up in. Just cos they're old they're not stupid are they? Or should i put words in your mouth and suggest you said they are all stupid old duffers who think its still the 1920s and they can get a bag of fish and chips and go to the movies and still have change from 50p? right back at ya. |
