I had that on the thou, not as bad as you'd imagine to change. I forget the name of the place that do pattern stator parts but you might be in luck because if I remember right the Fazer 6 is one of the one they do with a standard connector. You'll have to double check, TSM was the one that pointed me to the website if I remember right.

my 5p worth: I had a duffed reg/rec which stopped the alternator charging the battery. hth

Thank's for the link Raf! Though I've already ordered a 2nd hand stator from fleabay - £42 delivered so not too bad.. Picking up a gasket on Saturday from Yamaha so should be ready to get the bike sorted sometime next week. In the meantime it feels as if I had one of those eco-friendly electric bikes ;)

Hooray!

Bike is up and running again once I installed a new stator! I've even managed to sort my duffed indicators-turned out one of the wires got melted by exhaust... Another reason why I think underseat ehausts are a rubbish idea aimed at posers...
