why did i think it was structured racing?

Yep, the one I've been on (granted it wasn't a fully fledged trackday) there were a couple of bikers with bmw GS's (IIRC), I expected them to be rapid for some reason but they were just bimbling around getting to know their bikes (im so sure, but this may be my memory taking artist license, that they had panniers on too)

There's no pressure (apart from from youself) what so ever. I have a vid up on you tube that might give you a first person taster? It's surprisingly calm if you want it to be, I was so scared of binnin my brand new (to me) bike I just couldn't bring myself to go all out.... until the last round when I thought feck it. You still learn loads.

There ya go, as you can see you soon get used to been over taken
Although that said a lot of it is because your riding with sportsbikes, I couldn't help but get a bit ****ed off when they'd overtake me on the straights then I'd feel like they were in my way on the corners. You can see on there on the first lap I get over took by a red sportsbike guy after a straight then more or less stay with him through the bends then get left for dead lol

Nah it's what ever you wanna do really (aslong as it's not stunts or dangerous lol), won't be as nice as on that video what with being november but good opportunity to learn your bike.

That does give me confidence. I was a bit worried about people getting ****ed off with me being in the way and such, especially in the first couple of sessions. Looking forward to it. kinda expecting one of my mates to bin it racing the other, with them both riding sports 600s. I'll be fine though. hopefully

It's not too hard to go at your own pace in Novice.

Take a look at this video, at Cadwell Park not Mallory granted.

Skip to 2.30 ish for an example of how sedate it can get. Don't worry about holding anyone up, just HAVE FUN.

PS: YOU MUST COME ON 28TH NOVEMBER. More people to talk to and have banter with/help you out. It'll be fun. :D
