I feel very sorry for the driver.

And for train drivers where some selfish git decides to chuck him/her self under a train. It must be hideously traumatic.

I think it is an incredibly selfish way to commit suicide. I have seen BTP cops really traumatised as they have to clear up the mess. A BTP cop also said that she has seen loads of train drivers loose the plot after it, which is totally understandable.

I'm lucky not to have had any suicides yet, but I know plenty who have and its truly terrible. It gets even worse when the family blames you, which many do.

You get as much time as you/your doctor feels you need. Some go straight back, others are off for months, some never do come back.
A lot of it depends on the circumstances, what you see, what happens in court etc
