We need a start date, how's 1st January sound?

Would probably also need a cut-off date, so everyones points could be tallied. How about December 1st? Gives everyone 11 months to amass their points.

Might this be better done on a shorter timescale first time through, then wrapped around the AR month in years following?

no give it 12 months then when its starting in next year we can work out who has the most points.

would i get bonus points for going to places in Europe, USA and Canada? I do a lot of traveling round the world.
Oh would driving a cage to the places count or does it have to be a bike? what about rented bikes in Canada/USA as i only have a bike in the uk atm.

Bike magazine been running the same competition all summer with the points getting bigger the bigger the adventure to get there, ie: Morocco 50 points, the Dog and Duck in the next town, 5 points.

I think we'll keep it simple to start, we will need to have ground rules otherwise it'll get silly:smt065
Don't forget this is intended as a bit of fun to add to rideouts and give you a reason to get on the bike.
It could run as a regional competition and a personal one too.
Your bike will have to be in the photo as a minimum, if your on your own it'll be dificult to get yourself in, not imposible but difficult.
We need feedback from the org to iron out forseable problems.

Ideas please folks:D

Did I come across as if I was suggesting complicating it? Sorry, I was simply commenting on what bike magazine were doing.

there is a thing tthat weve been doing for years now,, called the rbr ( round briton rally) were you have one or two places in every county of the england, scotland and wales. given eather a cryptic clue of just the name of a landmark, you then go, find it and take a picture of your bike with the landmark and the a4 poster you get given to prove it,, something like that ??

Ok start taking those photo's, we'll have BODYPARTS as this years theme.

Don't forget it is for fun, at the AR later in the year we can have an interim tally to see who's individual and area leaders.

The rules;
Photo's must include sign post, bike, rider and or pillion.
Pillions can enter the competition.
Road names are not allowed.
Double barrelled names count as two points.
Body parts must be spelt in ENGLISH. (no wierd or tediouse translations)

If anyone has any more rules they think will be relavent please post them and I will add them to the list.

Happy snapping :riding:
