Well a few bits to know, i am currently on course for organising some of our catering in advance (i.e. too make it abit more social and get discounts). I of course will not be sorting out every single breakfast, lunch and dinner, similair to many rideout weekends. But i will give you some details on the planned eating arrangemeants after tuesday hopefully.

Weather wise i have spoke to the people(s) of the island, April, May and September generally have the best weather. Obviously i can't give a sun guarantee but it's the most likely time of the year. :).

Cheap Travelodge near Liverpool £10

Thinking for those Travelling a fair way like myself from Porstmouth. It's 5 hours to get to the Ferry and then means a late crossing and darkness for Tent put up.
Could Travel up Thurs - stay at Travelodge and catch midday over - reasonable hours - could also stay the night coming back before long drive home.

Just a thought.

Yeh see how you get on, the travelling never bothers me, there aren't hundreds of sailings to choose from, so you have to plan all based on that, the boat. I think we'll find theres a majority sailing everyone will get, and i'd put money on it being one that means your setting up tents in daylight.

I normally drive through the night from the uk to heysham and get the 2.15am sailing arriving for morning light at after 6am.

Barwell - Strapping on the boat is all done for you.
