If the impact didn't have enough energy to fully deform the tyre and hit the rim I doubt it'd damage the rest of the forks/headstock:?

Sportsbikes always crash over rough ground, the SV clunked and my 675 sounded like you were hitting it with a hammer:o

Dunno what they sound like on the ADV as as far as I can tell I've not hit any yet:p;)

thats exactly it, i was just about to wheelie past the line of cars in front of me!! :)

If you have to be that close on that bloody rocket-ship you can't see a small crater the overtake is probs a bit risky!

Nice road though. Go Blandford - Shaftesbury?

Only works if they were already aware of the pothole. Try proving that...

definetly did something to my front wheel, as before the bike used to hold the line in corners very well and now it wobbles, went for a ride last night and it is really noticable.

Bearing maybe? Get it on a stand and check everything from the wheel up to the steering head, or see a mechanic.

Bad news, you've only had it five minutes! If it hit hard enough to break it you're lucky you weren't turfed off as well. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Get the front up in the air and see if it has developed play in the head bearings.

push bike up to a wall (front tire) and push the bike and see if you can hear/feel the front move/click at the head bearing
