I wouldn't let any of them near my car/van even if my life depended on it!

And I can fit wiper blades and bulbs etc myself, if you can't do it yourself or are just too lazy to do it yourself then you shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a car! ;-)

Er NOOOooooooooo.

Have they done an apprenticeship - NOooooooo.

Have they done a manufacturer course - NOOooooooo.

We spend hundreds/thousands buying our pride and joy bike or car and ..............NOooooooo. I'd sooner claw out my eyes with a pickle fork.

Only time I've let halfrauds touch my car is when I slipped one of the guys a note on his break to fit me a headunit and the other day when it was far too early to be fathoming how their weird style wiper clips fitted on. Got one to do it for me, pleased to say it took him a few minutes!

Wouldn't let them if I wasn't overwatching and certainly wouldn't pay halfords.

Talking of which actually, a friend of mine who happens to be a moron ignored my advice of not buying a flatpack bike and even ignored the halfords employee who told him not to buy that particular bike. Well whether it's down to the bike or the halfords chimp that built it I don't know but the gear changes are fooking rough the front brakes do not work at all and I was shocked when the rear brake worked.....but then the balance was restored when I realised it was actually locked on.

Why....just why...i do everything i can to the bike and the car that doesn't require a good amount of mechanical skill or knowledge.
And i like learning so tinkering about for an hour is always funner than paying someone who dont have a clue to break it in 5 mins, i can do that myself thankyou very much.

Not a hope in hell. In Bedford my 18 yr old nephew is one of the idiots they employ to do this, and he's a completely clueless f*ckwit who is 9 times out of 10 stoned on weed at work.

This is true however you were a brilliant cycle mechanic BEFORE you worked for Halfords! And Halfords was only the stop gap for you until they dropped a ton of whatever it was on your head and caused you injury...need I say more?

Oh by the way, hugs to Jasper xxx
