he will more than likely do lunch! They are giving him £40 a day to spend on food :smt017 even drew can't eat that much! ;)

Thats fantastic, where he is working is about a 4 min walk from my office. As for where he is staying....nice, but a bit of a journey, but can always meet up with him in the evening if he gets bored.

Can't believe no-one's mentioned the Soho Massive in Frith Street! Every friday evening (but often moved to the corner of Soho Square)

If you have to stay, the Transport Museum and Imperial War Museum are both good. Also the Eye. Piccadilly Circus is a dump but go down The Haymarket to the Sports Cafe if you want to have a few drinks and some nice munchables. Museum Of London is okay, I suppose, though stick with the recent history section lest you come out swearing it should be called the Museum Of Dull Bits Of Broken Old Pots.

Elsewhere, Maida Vale and the surrounding canals are nice for a stroll, and the Camden Market is okay. There's also a decent market in Notting Hill Gate. If it's a nice day, Hyde Park is a good place to go and lie on the grass and enjoy the weather. Sadly, just about every other touristy place (Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square) are really crowded, unpleasantly touristy and best passed through at great speed.

Just because you have a castle in your town no need to be nasty ;)

seems mighty contradictory to me!!! for such a dump it seems to have plenty going for it still...

pesonally i love the place, but of course its a subjective and matter of opinion

LOL I've never been into the castle, though I have walked around the outside (and ****ed into the moat, I think. Was verreh drunk).

And Caerphilly's hardly a classy place, when I got home yesterday I had to pick up discarded takeaway tins strewn along the street as well as a coke can (don't want some bike to come and hit it) left by the local scum.

I did used to live in London, hence my intimate dislike of the place.

It is still a dump even if there's a few museums!

Can't believe your actually asking what there is to do in London  Google?

Best thing i'd do is on a sunny evening get down onto one of the bars on the boats (Embankment area) and sit on the deck watching the boats go by, the sun going down (due to all the pollution, london gets some EPIC sunsets, purple, blue, orange, red colours etc. Really really cool sunsets), with a few drinks on the go. That was always nice.

Lily, I used to live in Richmond...if you fanct on one of the weekends, head over there and you can have some of the lovliest walks along the thames, great waterfront bars where you can sit with a beer, dangling your legs over the edge and also, there's Richmond Park which is wonderful and if you go early morning you'll see all the deer. Drews food money could also buy you both a nice lunch here.....
