Re: Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??
Even if, and it's a big IF, you are the kind of person that can see this froma different angle and feel sorry for Moat or even think him a legend.........GROW A BRAIN for yourself. He didn't just lose the plot, he almost killed the mother of his child.....then caused his own death leaving that child with a dead parent. How can anyone be understanding of that let alone the fact that he did kill someone and has seriously disfigured a police officer.
Yes, I always try to see things from other perspectives, I always try to find something in everyone that can allow me to forgive. It is very hard to do that when someone has just decided that they have the right to end the life of another person. What Moat did was change the lives of many people, including the members of his own family because of the results of his actions. Two wrongs do not make a right. If you feel that you have been wrongly accused/imprisoned for something, you HAVE to go about trying to right that through the right channels...because to take matters into your own hands MAKES you the person you are trying to say that you are not. Roaul Moat is not a legend. He never will be. A legend is a man like Ruben Carter, locked up for over 20 years for a double murder he didn't commit, who gets himself freed and pardoned through patience and self education. He is a legend, Roaul Moat is a murderer, end of! |
Re: Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??
Legend :- One that inspires legends or achieves legendary fame.
Well yes he has, for all the wrong reasons. His actions will be with alot of people for a long time. For me, I couldn't care less if certain people think he is a legend or a hero. I know what he was and so does the majority of people. I'm now hoping that the police don't get sh!tted on over the mess HE has caused. Ste. |
Re: Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??
I personally don't think Moat had lost it entirely, he seemed very calculated. Insane people are not calculated.
Just something to throw in, apparently from what I have read(not sure how accurate it is), Moat was in prison for child abuse. Puts a slightly different perspective on him doesn't it?? He was a cold blooded, callous, coward of a man. |
Re: Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??
Of course society is turned on its head. I'd wager most of the people in thie group are valueless chavs who think nothing of violence, vandalism or theft themselves. Scum.

As for 'being a legend' generally that phrase means it's a good thing and this man clearly was not a good thing. A criminal and murderer. Good riddance to him. |

I'm a +1 with you, the whole worlds gone nuts |
Re: Raoul Moat - "Legend" ??
While i accept sometimes the police act a bit wild, i think this guys downfall was all self inflicted and its wrong for the cops involved now to have to answer to every detail when he was plainly dangerous.
They are even questioning the use of the tazar's, im sure they were a last result to try and save his life, this bloke wanted a public display otherwise why all the letters and stay in same area. If he wanted to get away, that wasnt the signs of somebody that did. Killing or attempting to kill his ex is one thing, im sure a few on here have thought about it, but an innocent cop is inexcusable. Worlds a better off place without him imo, im just glad a firearms officer didnt have to end his life and go through all the crap after. |
