Cheers Mark.

A helmet's shelf life is still relevant today. Even modern composite materials degrade with UV light etc and the ACU have a nothing over 5 years rule on all race helmets. One reason helmets have a lifespan when in regular useage is the interior liners degrade with sweat and grime over the years, which can affect their effectiveness in a crash situation.

I'd be happy to use this lid as it's been kept away from UV light and has never been used before, it is in effect a new lid.

The Quantum F was one of the comfiest helmets ever made, I had one for a short time, until it got destroyed in an accident. My head was fine even though the helmet looked like it had been run over by a tank.

Tell that to the kids today and they won't believe you!

I'd definitely wear this lid but then I'm probably a bit more relaxed about these things than I should be. My brother-in-law gets a nice new lid every year and looks after them.

I got my current Shoei out of his wheelie bin.:)

Just got the helmet off my dad. It's as I thought - totally brand new, still with the tags on it even. Could possibly do with a slightly different lining, but my new Arai Quantum F is looovely.

Tidy!

Gotta love coppers aye

A broken bottle? We used to DREAM about being beaten with a broken bottle.

SPLITTERS!

What flavour? Why it is a lovely vanilla*! Currently sans the Arai stickering, as they had been replaced with the Police badges, so I'm on the lookout for some to make it look finished. Apart from that, tis lovely.
