Anyone used the Kreiga bags attached to their tank adapter? 100% waterproof, 10 year warranty and can be used on the tank or tail of a bike etc...I am looking for a versatile setup and this looks very appealing...any opinions/experience of them?

Yes, I have used one extensively. Kriega make the absolute best soft luggage I have ever used. There is a reason they have a 10 year no-quibble guarantee; it won't break and you won't return it. Unlike most so called "waterproof" motorcycle kit, they are properly waterproof. I have only read one account of one leaking and then only a very small damp patch inside; all my kit from them has performed fine in 6 hours torrential rain, river crossings, floods, etc.

Either the US-20 and US-10 will fit fine to it. I've not tried it, but I have heard of people putting TANK->US-20->US-10 with no problems. Makes a bit of a "tower" of a tank bag mind.

The TANK fits the Pointy shape SV650s like it was made for it. Easy to detach for refuelling, yet secure enough to leave permanently on the bike. The only thing I would recommend is depending on how/where you secure the straps under the front seat and how tight you have it, you might want to replace the included sticky contact points with blobs of araldite.

I've got a proper cheap one from Lidls (B Square) which they sell from time to time and I'm extremely happy with it. I think a few organs have them. Nothing's falling off it yet and hopefully won't for a long time. That said I'm sure others like Baglux will last longer.

I'm temped by the Bagster/Baglux for my CBR, The appeal of the protector for my tank is great when it's a white tank!!!

Well I've found the review, RIDE Oct 2010. It's not online yet but I've scanned the pages and I'll post up later (work system won't let me)

They tested 29 bags. Although I can't be held responsible for the techniques and criteria they applied.

I like the Kreiga stuff.

They do a tank bag adapter that fits most of their kit including some of the smaller ruck sacks too.
Theres more versatility using their stuff as its an add on/take off system.
With the tank adapter, i now have the ability to use 3 different size bags on the tank or on the tail if I'm on my own.

That's good to know, I just (10 mins back) ordered the US-40 set with a view to getting the tank adapter later on too...

I did read that the tank adapter can cause issue with some paint work, is that right? I assume not factory paint? As a consequence I was wondering if I should go the baglux/bagster route, but if the Kriega tank straps are A okay I'll stick to the original plan :)

Check out SW Motech stuff here

Again not the cheapest but my Dads got 1 of the lockables on his bike, holds the bag securely and keeps it away from your paintjob. Bag is really good quality and can be used with other bikes as long as you buy the relevant tank holder.

Main reason he got this was because the bag can be locked in place, so no thieving pikey can have away with your bag if you fancy parking up somewhere
