Re: Ever bought the wrong bike?
I often think my Hornet is the wrong bike but then banjo the nads off it and its hilarious. Plus if i'm being honest and not full of bravado and bollox its a perfect road bike and I dont need/can use any more. Its amazingly well braked, light and has a great top end rush.
I'd still chop it in for an RC8 tommorow though if i could afford it and i know thats the wrong bike!! I miss me massive suzuki twin as it was an effortless and lazy thing and I too am a lazy rider. SUpersports 600 arent for the lazy though, surely the only lazy sportsbikes are thous with their easy power. Does the ducati not blat about efforlessly? |

It just doesnt glide along like I really enjoy. I aim to go back jap, honda infact and 1000cc In an ideal world a 2011 Repsol 1000RR and hopefully before then end of April when my insurance is due, other wise I will get bummed twice on insurance changing the bike on the policy after I renew. http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/ai.../2594364-1.jpg |
Re: Ever bought the wrong bike?
I'm too tall for supersports bikes so although i'd love another one I know its pointless.
My ninja 600 was the wrong bike I only had it 3 months from brand new. Too focussed, couldnt see **** and went too fast or nothing at all. I really want BMW to build that crazy 1600 roadster but they wont, just the touring versions. |
Re: Ever bought the wrong bike?
Yep, my second SV (SH2).
Had my first SV for a number of years and its the best bike I own. But it was coming to the end of its current road and needed a lot of work doing to it. So I parked it up and the next day went and bought another SV. 2 weeks later I spotted a TL1000 on eBay with some £10k of extras that went for £2k. Should have shopped around a little more and bought a TL. |
Re: Ever bought the wrong bike?
I cant believe you want rid of the hyper after having it so short a time :(
Dont forget G, one of the reasons you got rid of the sports bike so it wasnt as easy to do 150mph. Each to their own i guess, better to have sports bikes while youre still young though, probably wont get on with them when youre in your 40's :) Its a shame cos your hyper looks the nuts, teach you for copying mr speirs ;) |

If you want to ride to work in rush hour or sit on a nice comfy seat then the Bandit is great. If you want to have fun then its crap. Gixxer this summer fingers crossed:D |

Tell you what though, I did wonder if I'd done the wrong thing buying the 955i, when I realised just how wasted it was on the road, but it's such a magic carpet that I love it anyway. A litre sports bike is a very easy way to do very silly speeds though. You have to ride by your speedo and not by sensation, noise or thrills, 'cos 80mph feels like 30mph. |
Re: Ever bought the wrong bike?
I owned a 400 bandit a long timeago,it was the dual front disc import jobbie, but I hated it so much, only had it 3 months and traded it in for an fzr600.
Couldnt go back to an IL4 though, my riding style suits a v twin, and Id love to trade upto an sv thou  Lee |
