well from the picture that mr smith sent me i made it so his battery would be in the same position as was in the picture.

soooooo, the box goes on the main rear subframe diagonal bars with the rails of the box (the ones with the holes drilled in them) resting on the main rails of the rear subframe. the opening of the box goes towards the back of the bike and the battery goes front or back side down inside the tray (depending on how long the battery connections are). the picture he sent me had the battery sitting horizontal in front of the tank between the main upper subframe rails.

take the tray and stand it up (rails with holes vertical) then put the battery in the tray then lie the tray on its back (rails with holes now horizontal) then all will become apparent.

So from this, I'm presuming that it's just a straight-swap with the standard SV shock? Plus the removal of the battery cover?
Mines a K3s model so is there any difference from the K6n used on the SVrider forum guide?

Also how well would the ZX10 spring work with my 14 stone (88kg) weight? And how would it cope with the addition of a full top-box and panniers?

if you have a dig around the forum there is tons of knowledge on the exact subject.

but in a short condensed answer:

yes its the same as the svrider guide
there is a website that tells you all the spring rates..

The ZX10R shock would do well with your weight but make sure you buy the right year. 06-07 is right but 04-05 is wrong. You can identify them by the angle resivour on the shock. If it is 90 degrees from the shock you have the correct 06-07 shock if it is more a 45 degree upwards angle that's too old. Both shocks are gold with a red spring.

Found a good condition one on ebay for £100 so i'll just keep an eye out in the next month or so to see if one pops up cheaper!
