I can't believe how rare RGV's are. I thought there was loads of them about. I might be keeping hold of mine for a while

Great things eh?

Ive been puting in searches on different stuff...
With sv's gsxr's etc. its easy to see the new model every 2 years trend in sales.
The sales of honda's 125's has been going down year on year which i found suprising. I thought it would be steady.
Ducati diavels only 95 sold in the uk including the carbon version. After all the hype. You know when you read about the latest greatest bike coming soon in a certain rag and then the sales just dont match it.

Mines a sv650s k3 so theres around 1118 in the uk. 282 sorned (either for sale bikes or currently knacked.)

If you see sv660s or something like that these are probably DVLA computer mistakes from scanning hand written documents for re-reg etc.

As was mentioned on the other thread :-dd the database isn't accurate, especially for older bikes.

It runs off the DVLA database which has the model designations as shown on the V5, which can be pretty random.

I've got two SV's that were both registered on the same day in 2000. One V5 shows Make: Suzuki - Model: SV 650 SK1.

The other one shows Make : Suzuki. The "Model" section is totally blank so there's at least one SV that isn't going to show up on that website.

One V5 shows the engine size as 645cc, the other shows it as 650cc, so accuracy doesn't seem to be vital.

There are (according to that website) only 14 of my make and model of bike still registered in this country. All the owners must be trying to sell them at the same time as when I do a search for my bike, there are always plenty to find for sale. My bike is 17 years old mind you.
