Yep Amiga-bois, that IS 4 channel sampled sound coming from a 3-channel soundchip.

I actually sat and recorded the whole of that Demo onto C90 and had it in my Walkman :)

Because its awesome. Fact. And I had one as a kid (and I still have it)...

On a technical note it actually keeps time very well from what I understand which is why its still in use by musicians today.

What gave it the advantage over the Amiga as far as musicians are concerned is the fact the the 520STfm came with Midi ports on it and Dr T`s software was some serious scoring/midi oomph for the time . The Amiga never really got around to doing external music as everyone became obsessed with it`s abilities to play 16 bit samples and gave way to the "Tracker" style software . Timimg has nothing to do with it really as even a Commodore 64 can run Midi Software and a cartridge with Midi ports on it .
