I had two ops that both required me to be in plaster in the last 2 years. The only time I took off work was when I was under anesthetic. I worked on my laptop in the hospital before and after the op, then went to work with my arm in plaster the next day. When I was recently on crutches that was more tricky but managed to borrow a laptop while housebound then battled through the Tube on one leg. But I do like my job so that helps.

5 Years ago to the day I had already put a day and a half in with a broken collarbone, sustained in this incident.

Oh and while I remember (meant to post on the Aniversary), thanks again to all the Orgers who helped out on that day :)

I'd take any ailment where my presence at work is forbidden but that Im able to still be mobile around the house... god I may actually catch up on all those things I've been meaning to do but never had time - although saying that I would need about 4weeks. Any suggestions?

Wow what a nightmare for you!!! you certainly seem to have had more than your fair share of bad luck and I wish everyone a full and speedy recovery.

In answer to your original question...... Huge Yep, I hate hospitals and my recent experiences whilst having my boyfriend and brother in have made me wonder what the hell is going on in our hospitals these days. What happened to infection control, pain relief, professionalism and caring? I`ve been disgusted and sickened my what we`ve experienced :(
