Route looks good :) is there a route file I can drop into my Garmin Zumo 550?

Putting routes from Tyre onto a garmin is a black art, as I found out in France. You have to be careful as sometimes it jumbles the way points. Believe me I know from France.

If you upload it to your Satnav make sure that you check that the waypoints flow and you're not doubling back on yourself etc!

Anybody who wants the routes, pm me you email address along with whether you have garmin or tomtom and what format your satnav takes and ill send them to you.


Dan, it wasnt the routes or your satnav, it was you, mainly being hung over and not looking at it properly ;)

Normandy doesn't exactly border Italy but I wouldn't put anything past you lol.

I'm defo not following you, you'll see a macdonalds and swerve and nearly kill us again :)

Right, being as the weathers been crap ive been doing some research, ive also spoke to my nephew who's really into this stuff like me ( he's been to normandy for 10 days) and he's said we will need time to look round these places so what ive decided to do is knock the omaha beach bits off the west route and do that as part of a central route so we can spend more time in that area.

Point du hoc apparently has loads to see and explore, gun placements, pill boxes etc so we'll need more time there.

I'll keep y'all posted.
