The AR is in June?
Im not attending anyway but I always thought AR was a summer holiday event.

No drama, like I said 9th is pushing it.

It's that messie & supervox hacking the format..

AR is a week before wedding so I might or might not be able to go - not sure yet.. Anyone fancy it sooner rather than later? It's not like we need to be fit?

Is there anywhere else you could hire from? Or help my dad out with his garage and he could pay you in mountain bike tokens? Did you hire the top tier bike or was it a hard tail? What was up with it? Why are you so stroppy?

Hired it from Purple mountain, yeah it was the base rate one because they're fleet was in the middle of being replaced but at £50 for the bottom dog then their top dog must be quite expensive but its still proberbly crap. The parts were decent spec but nothing seemed to be set up very well. I remember getting on it, the seat pointed due east to the frame the brakes were either on or off, no option to just deduce speed. The rear mech wouldnt jump onto the lower 2 rings and the front mech would touch the bottom ring, and only got to the top if you sat all your weight on the shifter. Fair enough my idea of "great kit" might differ from thier average client but I dont expect to hire a bike and then have to take a multi-tool to it myself to sort it out. Throwing it into a tree cheered me up though.

The camp site was great, but if it was within 10miles of Dalby then it must have been 9.999 miles away and those 9.999 miles were in the wrong direction compeared to that travelled to get to Dalby. Middle of the heartbeat set IIRC.

Gawd dayam, fine it was about 13 miles away because of the windy twisty country roads, 10 miles as the crow flies..

I rang about 5 different places and that was the only one which seemed to fit what we were looking for. If anyone else wants to have a look for somewhere nearer/further/easier/with showers/pub nearby etc. by all means step in there. There are 2 camping places at dalby forest but through summer they're continuously booked up weeks in advance. I know a 20 minute drive to the campsite isn't ideal after a long day's riding, but if we get provisions ahead of days riding then at the end of the day we can just go back to camp and stuff our faces with crisps and beer..
