Just realised your right. I wondered why the spring was angled looking. (tbh I think i fitted it like this since I rebuilt last year) still worked!

Edit: im amazed that the clutch disengaged enough as this must have removed around 2mm from the pushrod to allow the plates to seperate enough at the other side of the engine. Did it create a quicker shift?. I know it doesnt take much movement from the pushrod to allow the plates to do the right job. I bet ill notice a smoother shift when I get back on.

Its a k3 sv it needs tlc or it will rot and die. Which makes me respect curvy owners cleaning even more.
