To many chiefs and not enough Indians-------------------I've only ever heard of one mod relinquishing his power wand.
How many mods does a section need per capita or is it now ---organise a rideout and get mod status.
Special1 this is not a pop at you but a general observation that people who organise rideouts such as the AR or other big gatherings suddenly become mods and keep the status for ever.

To be fair the Madlanders only had one Mod until recently and I'd never seen them post or come online since I've been a member.

(Edit: to be fair just checked and they have been online I just hadn't seen - maybe Madlanders didn't need much moderating)

Actually DT, inactive mods are monitored i believe and rights terminated if inactive for too long.

Remember the new mods dont just do their section, the help out in IB, Photos, For sale, wanted sections too.

??? with you gits, with no mods in there you'd run riot, Derbybiker has been keeping his eye on you even if not posting :)

Re: SpecialMod...?

You are saying that your section already has a mod who is doing his job if be it discreetly------sort of answers my post.
I do appreciate there are other responsibilities and I would rather an active mod than inactive it is just that the system,if any for appointing one doesn't seem to entail any sort of democracy within the members of the org but purely management
Good luck with your appointment and I don't envy you one iota when there are opinionated people like me about:wink::wink:
