I'd always say have it off, no really, take the tank cover off, bike is beautiful without it.

haha!

I've had the bike for a year and only just taken it off. Prefer it 'naked' myself, looks sportier. Also its like owning a new bike. Affirmation is always good though, thanks guys n gals

Is it practical?
Do you use the tank bag it's designed for on a regular basis?

I leave mine on my sprint for two reasons...

I use my tank bag fairly regular

My leathers were scratching the crap out of the sides of the tank, so the cover protects it against that.

On, it'll protect your tank. No one will notice it

For me no, I don't have the bank bag - the cover was just on when I got the bike.

It may be preventing scratches, although i wear kevlar jeans with knee protection usually and textiles if the weather is crappy. So not sure if either would be an issue.

This. Mine is on all the time but then I use my Bagster bag every ride as the pockets on my leathers are too small for my phone and glasses case. I also found my leathers scuffed the paint on my curvy quite badly so got a cover as soon as I got this bike.
