I remember I missed out on FA cup semi final tickets once because the letter telling me I'd been successful in the ballot out of tens of thousands of other people, was 'filed' or 'tidied' into a random drawer in the dining room.

I only found it when setting the table for Christmas dinner (some 9 months later) and it nearly ruined the whole Christmas lol.

to make you feel like you are going senile / forgetful . Next thing she will start saying things like I mentioned it to you last night and you agreed :)

Never assume she will know where, why or how things ever get to where they end up..even though she put it there in the first place. Deep down she secretly enjoys the head scratching ,swearing and inner turmoil as you persist in trying to get that round peg into that hole with only that broken hammer as you cant locate any of the useful tools as she had set about tidying them before. ;)
Whilst you marvel at your ingenuity and resourcefulness there will be another trap lurking in another room. Funnily I seem to find most things in the garage..eventually .....as opposed to never at all

I get a 3 month "itch" (and no it's not medical ). Stuff ends up getting shifted round, if you want to get all hippy about it it's to do with chi and moving the energy about creating a better sense of wellbeing and clearing the air. During my experience of working in a shop, daft as it may sound, we move stuff about constantly, old stock that's not selling is moved and often minutes after moving it a customer buys. It happens all the time and is quite amazing. And it's not about moving it to a more prominent positio either, we might move it out of the way to make room for new stock and it still shifts!

In fact, we just had a mini argument now because I didn't wash up a few plates which are by the sink, which of course would DESTROY her credibility with her friends and cause her EXTERNAL embarrassment. I know that whenever I go round people's houses, if I see a few dirty plates I will definitely shun them, call them gutter trash, and burn their house down before I leave.

I'm sorry but if any friend of mine expects my place to be spick and span before they come round they ain't worth the privilege of my friendship. Yeah I'll make an effort to clean up but I won't be worrying about the odd plate lol

I specifically don't touch YC's stuff, mainly cos if he EVER decided to return the favour it would drive me up the wall. Just as well chance would be a fine thing and the day YC cleans up without being prompted...;)

Remarkable restraint i'd say

The wife has decided to swap round living/dining areas. So feed to STB has to be repositioned. This means I have to crawl through the sub floor dragging cable. A horrid nasty job. She, Oh I thought it was a simple job to move the wire. In the past I had a splitter in line to feed multiple boxes. But when we went with the telewest service the splitter losses were too much and I need to connect directly.

In the past she has moved the bedroom around whilst I have been on the lash. Considerate me comes in strips in the dark and jumps into bed. Ouch bed on the other side of the room as I crack my head on a chair and my back hits the floor at 9.81m/s2

In my case there are more than a few black widow spiders down there with you as you drag that cable and there's always that dreadful fear of the possibility of meeting a snake.

Last time the wife decided to rearange the living area, spent the entire weekend moving furnature, cables, pictures.
By the next weekend she couldn't stand it and we had to move it all back. :smt013

I was working in Sumatra at Ombillin power station site and had to drag some cable through the loft area of the site office. About 20ft in, I shout down to the site manager "Are there any snakes up here". "No. Just some nasty big spiders". another 10 ft in and I see massive web miss my footing and fall through the ceiling.

Utter carp! Hands up all of the blokes who live with the most untidy creatures imaginable. I have a daughter as well so pity me. Both of them leave shoes in the vague vicinity of the deliberately voluminous shoe rack without ever using said shoe rack.... Sometimes I can barely open the front doot for the damn things (why do they need so many?). Both of them leave clothes in the vague vicinity of the washing basket in the bathroom... Drives me up the wall!!! Neither can ever remember where they put anything which is unbelievably annoying when I want to use the car that was last driven by my wife. Yes - I have suggested they put things in the same place every time - I may as well ask the dog not to chase next door's cat...

haha. +1 Sir Trev. My life was well organised until I moved in with my Mrs. Granted, but house wasn't always spic and span, but there would never be more than a few papers or random tools on surfaces. Everything had it's place and would eventually make it back. Organisation is the key.

Since I moved in with the Mrs, it's an eternal struggle. Just the other day we lost the vegetable peeler. It's vanished from the kitchen. Gone. Completely. Only a woman could make a vegetable peeler, an item that has no use to man nor beast beyond the realms of the kitchen, vanish in a fit of tidying.

Wot a load of tosh.

I am in the minority in this house, underpants and socks don't walk to the wash basket themselves you know!
I don't know how often I have to tell the one with altheimers that the bath mat goes over the bath after a shower, or that socks don't sleep under the bed clothes with my eldest!
All my tools used to live in a storage tower in the kitchen and every damn one of them over time has gone with the tools fairy and hidden in with Pegs tools, I certainly didn't help them get theres.
I do however have a rather good dishwasher, that makes all the dishes get sparkly by the time I get up in the morning, and its name is Peg :)
