If anyone can tell you how to strap abstract objects securely to the bike its this man. Just FFS dont forget you've got a 3ft wide back end when you're trying to filter ;) |
Re: Crashed Gixxer - Rebuild
They're in for a strip down and a roll on a flat surface followed by a good going over with a straight edge before it comes to that..!

Re: Crashed Gixxer - Rebuild
Right..
Had a bit of a strip down, and come to the conclusion that most of the plastic is knackered. The radiator is leaking (there's coolant coming from somewhere and I presume it's the rad), Front sub frame is broken (we knew that) the headlight is missing pretty much every bracket it came with (we didn't know that). and two fairing brackets have sheared off.. one from the fork and one from the sump. :( Still not convinced about the forks.. oh, and one of the front disks is definately bent. Re: Crashed Gixxer - Rebuild
Looks like an 05-06 roughly?

Re: Crashed Gixxer - Rebuild
Yeah, it's a K5.
Had another look at the forks this morning, either the forks are bent or the yokes are twisted. Job for the weekend - Find out which :smt120 |
