Re: What's my best option for HID?
Wow, i put a really long and decent reply thanking your replies and suggesting the mod could rename this thread to make it easier for upcoming HID'ers. Didnt work, Sod typing that out again.
I've looked at them Musne, just not a fan of the price or the style of the headlight... What about this? |

They look like the exact ones I fitted to my bike... even the same box. At a fraction of the price. However, the listing says the two colours available are "ANGEL EYE(BLUE) AND DEVIL (EVIL) EYE (RED)" Both of these are not to my taste to be honest. I fitted 'crystal white' to my bike. But it looks like you can select which temperature colour you would like your main beam to be. |
Re: What's my best option for HID?
also, whats the heat like from these things?
edit, a few questions. How does the projector sit on/around the bulb? Would i have to slot it over the HID bulb and like stick it or do i screw the projector to the back of the main lamp unit and slide the bulb into the unit like normal? If thats the case how do i guarantee a correct angle to light up where i want to see? lol Whats the heat like from these as a whole? Will it try melt the headlamp unit? |
Re: What's my best option for HID?

Like I said in my earlier message, you have to oven your whole headlight housing after removing the stock bulbs. Then you separate the plastic lens from the black plastic so you expose the are where the reflectors are. You then simply pop the projector onto the slot where you're H4 bulbs went and tighten them from the back. Again, very easy and everything is provided in the kit, no need for drilling, or making holes. To make sure your light is straight, you need to switch it on and simply rotate the lens a little until you get a nice straight beam. |

Sounds easy enough. Im really thankful for your help! I've been struggling to find any information like anywhere haha When you say 'rotate to get a straight beam', how dya mean? I get the impression that you can spin the front of the glass and it changes the beam pattern or whatever? I know i know, i'll shut up. |
Re: What's my best option for HID?
Remember you need to measure the inside of your headlight to make sure a projector will physically fit in there. Doesn't look that big in your pic
