bit of advice, give it a fair go, took me 10-15 miuntes to get used to the riding position, I found an empty carpark and done some slow speed turning which is a different technique to normal bikes, but easily learnable , the wheelbase is long and the engine is all torqure, after a while it all fits into place.

Have fun.

Aresless chaps, 10 gallon cowboy hat, waistcoat, wallet on a chrome chain etc etc ;)

I wondered when I would get a reply like this, thanks Rich! I'll not go as far as tassles and a **** pot :)

I may well soon be the only cruiser rider in Norfolk with a full face helmet and textiles :)

Thanks, Yeah, I'll be sure to give it a little time, I went from sports clip-ons to supermoto which was quite a change, I'm sure I'll get my head around this with time too...may take a little longer though

I like the look of the Judge, my only concern is the "Matt" finish and it's durability, rubbing causes it to go shiny and it's almost impossible to match for touchup without doing the whole panel, had the same issue with the Triumph street triples.

I would've hated you to be disapointed

Them black ones look cool, but as Rictus said the finish might not last. Fastbikes had one on long term test, no major issues with it, just except its limitations.

Off to Freedom Motorcycles in March for a demo...early in the morning too as there's rain in the PM and no demo rides allowed in the wet :)

Just wondering whether the cornering clearance will put me off....and the weight...we shall see

Re: Contemplating a different bike

Well I just found out just how wide the bars are on the Hammer S, 94cm! My SMT with typical wide moto bars "just" squeezes through the gate and that's 85cm; I'd need to remove my gate posts, break away a bit of the side wall and rebuild the gate to accommodate a Victory...and having a 2yr old means I need a gate at all times so it's gonna be a no go...atleast for some time anyway.

So......I think it's time to modify the SMT a little - some LED indicators & rear brakes, an R&G tail tidy and maybe some leo vince cans.....I'll just have to learn to tame the wrist action a bit more

I'm still gonna test ride it tomorrow anyway as it maybe an option post 40yrs of age after I've sorted out the house we've just purchased, I'll let you know how it goes anyway...if I don't test ride it I'll be wondering what I am missing I think
