No it's aluminium so no chance of drilling it wider

I had similar on a bicycle stem. Easton stems use m6 bolts that have a head the size that an M5 bolt would have. Had to grind a bit off the head for it to fit in.

I bought from this place for a similar issue with my old SV. they give the head width measurement so you can see if it will work.

I dont think you will get smaller than 14mm for an M10 bolt though!

I used a file on one bolt with the bolt held in a drill. It took a long time and as NedSVS said the file got clogged up pretty quickly. It's an old file so I wasn't too bothered. Got the dremel out for the other bolt. Much quicker

Finished them with some sand paper
