ok im assuming that u are all talking about the grip and confidence they give when used in the dry, but what about in the wet? which is what most of this country see's during the year
|
i had avons (45/46) on my SV, inherited them from previous owner. i did 2000 miles on the avons, rear goosed, but front tyre started perishing (from age rather than use)
Thought that they were ok, just the bridgstns bt010's now on are better. Done 1500 miles on them. Feel more response/control when cornering, and great in the wet. |
Tyres
BT 020,S front and rear, can't fault them yet!! :D
|
O2O's are OK but I go off the side of the front before the rear, which is crap.
Going to get another O2O on back but O1O on front to get a bit more lean cos they are a bit more peaky. My mates tell me the O2O's are useless pieces of wood! But their bikes have 120 bhp and tyres do 3000 miles tops. So why cant they get me off their wheel on B roads then? |
The Avon combination is the best I have tried for wet and dry weather riding. I cover 20-25000 miles a year in all weathers, commuting and scratching. Bridgestone's were good, too, but didn't last as long.

metz sportec m-1s front n rear, only done 50 miles on em so far - keep y'all posted
|
bt010 on the back and new bt012 on the front whick is stated as the best bridgestone tyre in the wet but better not get used to the 010 and 020 as bridgestone are discontinuing them at the end of the year to promote the 012 range
|
Michelin pilot road. Great tyres :!: Works for me. long mileage and good grib
|
So how are the BT012s? Good in the wet?
And how would a 12 on the rear work wth a 10 on the front? My 10 rear is now utterly bald. |
bto12 are excellent in the wet had to do an emergency stop the other day back 010 locked up with downshifting but the front was very stable even when i grebbed a handfull :P :P
