Liverpool were not lucky. First West Ham goal lucky/unlucky; second goal goalkeeping error; Liverpool first goal good; Crouch's 'goal' perhaps wrongly disallowed; Second LFC goal high quality; third Hammers' goal a fluke; Gerrard's third goal unbelievable. Reina makes excellent saves at the beginning and end of the second half and his first penalty save was world class...

I would agree West Ham probably desrved to win and the difference was Stevie G but we weren't lucky!

My own view is we should wrap Mr G in cotton wool and keep him that way til next season... if Fat Boy Rooney ain't fit (wehich he won't be) then we should play Stevie G just behind the main striker and put Fat Frank somewhere near the half way line...

As for Jose Reina he made a few gaffs but by eck like he made up for it in the penalty shoot out

It was an amazing match, reina was at fault for 2 goals but he did make up for it later i suppose.

Gerrards goal got an highly audible scream from me and my mates none of us are Liverpool fans ( we do all share a hefty dislike for Pardew though)

Overall best cup final i've ever seen.. Gerrards goal was better than Cantonas Volley against Liverpool.

i think Liverpool were pretty woeful for much of the game, bar one player dragging the team along by his bootstraps. whether they deserved the win or not is open for debate, reina was at fault for 2 maybe 3 of the goals.

west ham made it a great game by contiually attacking wanting more, fair play to them. i went to the cup final in 2003 and after 70 minutes Henry was taking the ball into the corner to kill time :evil: thats not what i've paid big bucks to see!
