Sure but everybody else has the same capacity limit. So all the things that may benefit a triple engine will do the same with the V4 and V5 crowd.
One thing I just thought of, is that if it's a V3. I wouldn't have a previous engine to weigh it against.
Food for thought, but on road bikes it's pretty much a given that less cylinder engines need more cubes to produce the same power as a 4 cylinder.
I guess that's why Triumph launched their 675 pitched against the 600cc IL4s.
