My mate loves his, and it is damn comfey thing aswell, dashboard makes you feel like your piloting an aircraft lol.

You might note that I mentioned "tight bends" based on following one on the Ronda Road one day. I left the guy lots of space and obviously he screamed away on straights but any kind of bend he was there for the taking.

I am not saying they don't handle at all,far from it...but they are one hell of a sized bike for that kind of thing. I eventually got a bit tired of hanging back so as not to pressure the guy and eased by on a lovely sweeping bend. 8)

Are they similar is size/weight to the Blackbird? My mate has a Blackbird and can easily out ride me and most others too, and I'm not slow. But then he is an instructor! I do think it's down to the rider. I used to make my Honda VFR800 do things that most SS bike riders just gawped at............eventually I crashed it!

peter's right (ouch that hurt!) the busa is a handfull in tight bends, however fast long flowing corners at speeds well over 100mph the busa is superb. absolutely murders my brothers fireblade on acceleration over 120mph as well. see if you can get the shop to give you a test ride!

I've been in a situation similar to PH, only I was in front of the 'Busa, every straight he'd be on my tail really pressurising me, but when we got to the twisties I made lots of ground at every bend, 8) until there was a decent straight and then he'd be back on my tail. :oops: although he never overtook :?:

I guess if others can chuck them about in the bends ok then it must be down to the person at the controls??

:shock: EEK ! In six thousand miles on my SV I have used, erm 1 rear tyre (It is well and truly shagged now though).

Its a 190 rear on the Busa isn't it ? Whats that then, £100-120 a pop for something decent ?

Might be a little more. I had a 180 on the GSXR at the weekend. Cost me £146 notes for a Michellin Pilot Power 2CT.

I think I paid £123 for a 180 Bridgestone 014.

I might be talking rubbish but I'm sure that Bridgestone or some such company make a tyre that is specifically designed for a busa. I've no idea what it is though.

Blimey I got 7'500 out of the D220 that came with my SV and still had a bit left as well. Maybe dunlops aren't so bad. :?

its a bt56j which i pay £138 bfitted and balanced. however there are a load of others that are ok to use. i just like the 56's. apart from the wet when it still goes sideways at 120 which is decidedly frightening at times
