I nearly bought one. The lovely people at Edinburgh Kawasaki listened to me "I'm doing my CBT next week and looking for a solid, reliable cruiser-looking 125". "Don't buy that one, it's ****. We got it on part ex, we're going to sell it to someone we don't like" :)

Not cheap and dont see many. I know where there was one tho...

Its actually a single, one cylinders a dummy...IIRC which I may not. No it is a twin, juts checked.

I really like them and they are meant to be long distance comfy. I was goign tot get one before I got talked into DAS.

The 125 idea might have bitten the dust. The CBT guy talked for 2.5hrs solid before he let them get near a bike, didn't demo anything just told them what to do from the sidelines and then said at 3:30 that they'd had a long day and he didn't want them going out on the road tired so they should come back next week :shock:

I'm going to take her up to Link in Chelmsford where I did my DAS and she can do her A2 and go for a bigger restricted bike. So now she has more choice of bike and is doing my head in all over again.

You're having a laugh! Yes, there's a lot of uploading info on CBT, but that's ridiculous.

Tell me about it, to make matters worse one of the girls had to go back to Germany at the weekend to do her day job, driving trucks in the Army, so obviously 15mins riding around a deserted town centre on a 125 would be a bit of a strain :roll:

NW is right :shock: Id ask for my money back - I thought the CBT was done in one day :? - well mine was and everyone else I know that has done it did too ?

not nessesarily done in one day, someone must have been bloody bad for them not to be risked on the road!! if your not deemed safe enough you have to go back for another lesson free of charge, this guy is making a loss on you going back, so make the lesson last all day, that'l teach him

I've got no problem with someone saying "I think we need to do a bit more work on..." that's fine but this guy just wasn't a good trainer. Bottom line is if you can ride a mountain bike on the road you can ride a 125 in a day it's really about getting the basics, building confidence and practice, practice, practice at the CBT level.

They spent more time in the classroom than on the bikes, the training area was very small and, considering this was a female only day designed to get them upto speed in a friendly relaxed environment, the guy spent most of the time talking about himself or his hatred of all car drivers and how someone will try to kill you every time you go out on the road and how only his vast experience has saved him on numerous occasions :shock:

Real confidence building stuff.

Anyway rant over, I'll take her to a more professional outfit.
