Am i right in thinking that the speedo on a curvy is run off of a sensor on the front wheel?
I cant remember ware I heard this but have never been to sure whether it is true!
if this is the case some1 with a curvy could change sprockets etc and it shouldn't make a difference to the reading on the clock?

How? :? All 650s have the speedo driven off the front wheel, only 1000s have the drive fron the sprocket.

14 44.

I'll go 14 47 too when I need new C&S. The more I can limit the top speed the better ... that said it just makes it easier to 'get it up' ... so just as bad in a different way

No need to change the size , but I will get one of these tri-metal sprockets.

yeah got a collegue witha speed gun and we measured it at 135clock said 140

Hmmm, it needs calibrating. A stock SVS will top 135ish which is about 1205-18ish. Thats with stock gearing. You have geared your bike well up, so i would imagine 110 should be about right. When i dropped to a 14t on the front, i lost about 8-10mph from the top end.
