Yup, but you know what you're doing. Most folks don't know how tight to make a sump bolt, without a torque wrench and a manual...

Then they strip it. I always take a fair bit of torque figures that are in the haynes manual.

Please don't do that... Apart from anything else oily stuff is a good way to block your drains ;) But most council waste sites have the ability to deal with used engine oil.

Not really. Engine oil (except cheapo pure mineral oil) is a synthetic chemical, not related at all to the stuff that gets sucked out from the ground to make petrol etc.

can u really put engine oil on a compost heap? don't wanna kill all my plants when i mulch the borders in spring.
