the bike starts first time great then after a ride it will not start, its turning over but not starting, if the plugs were dodgy it shouldent start in the 1st place?????????????????????

Maybe, intermittent fault, always difficult to diagnose.

The SV has a known problem of the wiring loom wearing under the rear of the tank and shorting against the frame - causing all sorts of intermittent woes. Check that first, should take no more than 15 mins to check thoroughly - fix is a different story.....

going to bypass the stand switch first :smt102

why i'm sure the stand switch (& clutch) just stop the starter from spinning.
