Now as many of you know, I'm a bit of a Royalist myself.... However, it has been witnessed that the driver had been drinking, and his toxicology report proved it. Add the pressure of trying to escape the press (who I have to say should learn from this) and it's a recipe for an accident.
If you were going to assassinate her, you could do it a lot easier than trying to cause an accident, and you could at the same time shift the blame to somebody anti-establishment.
Al Fayed is looking for closure, he can't seem to comprehend that his son's death lays at the hands of a long term family employee (the driver), but that's the case, nothing but a tragic accident caused by that biggest of all road killers... Drinking & driving, which is still tolerated in France....
