You must have a heavy throttle hand. I get about 135 miles from light flashing to full tank to light flashing if I'm commuting to work (60 roads) or 95 miles if I'm thrashing on a weekend up to Hartside.

I got 150 per tank when commuting on the SV. Exactly half a week. Last 15-20 miles were on the light.

On a decent run I can get about 130 from a tank without taking it easy :D

Is that mostly filtering?

Of course engine size influences petrol consumption. At the same revs a bigger cylinder is burning more fuel then a smaller cylinder.

Obviously usage plays a part (stationary 1000cc uses less fuel then a speeding 650cc etc) but I just wanted to refute your initial statement.

Thanks

Its not about how agressive you are, its about the kind of ride that you do. Some of the northern lot, and those who live out in the sticks will get on average higher mileage as town riding will eat fueal. On/off throttle, braing all the time sitting in traffic on the odd occasion. So as a rough guide, somewhere between 90-150 miles depending on the type of ride you do/have.

If you commute in london(not sure where you live) expect to get around the 100-130 miles to a tank. I get a constant 115 miles to flashing light, and i can get about 135ish if i go to the steady light. On weekend rides, i can stretch that out to about 130-150 to the flashing light, and if really gentle, 190 miles until you conk out.

i have had as high as 160miles till the light comes on, and as little as 85, all depends on how heavy your right hand it, how heavy you are, what position you are sitting in, and most importantly weather purposes you are using the bike for practical purposes (commuting etc) or out having fun and a sunny Saturday!!!!!

But i would say expect about 110 till the light then i have had 25 miles on the first stage light, then at least 10 miles on the second!!!
