Exactly!

Cauliflower = Mingin
Cauliflower disguised with Picalili sauce = Mingin

Picalili without any crud of Cauliflower = acceptable

Pickled eggs - yum

Silverskin pickled onions - yum

Beetroot - yum

Well said sir. 8)

In fact anything pickled is wrong to eat (apart from those small sweet little silverskin onions). Pickled stuff is meant to be floating in oversized jars on dusty shelves at the back of laboratories n stuff. It is also generally had more legs/heads/appendages than is natural, occasionally stirring in its jar and moving of its own accord.

Anything even remotely related to that has got to be wrong to eat. :?

HERESY !! The work of the Devil !!

Pickled onions should be large, crunchy & strong enough to blow your head off :D

I with you Anna - though perhaps if we each :puker: :pukel: into a jar and pickle that they may not even be able to taste the difference.

And as for homegrown veg VB - my Dad used to grown beetroot for pickling - when Mum was boiling the vile stuff the whole house smelled like burning mud - when I was about 2 my Mud Pies smelled better believe me.
