Well Rigor, being the bright light you are, you should know that old style tax bands are not down to economy, but cubic kerrrr-pacity. We can't help it if Suzuki were feeling generous...

You haven't met Rigor and his sense of humor then?

Think Rigor's comment was meant tongue in cheek. Seems ludicrous that the SV should be in a higher tax bracket than the Gixxer (or my CBR):D

Tongue in cheek? What's that? This is new to me... :)

I'm not that bothered. They have to put a boundary somewhere, and 600cc seems logical no?

It does indeed. I was going to see if I could find out how much C02/Km the Gixxer / SV / CBR makes, to see what bands we should be taxed in, but got bored :D

That's the way I read it too. Another smoke and mirrors budget.

It is now 64 pounds for the SV (upper band). See

Don't remember what it was, probably 60.

But one ****es me off is there is no disspensation for hill farmers and the like which need a 4x4 in their day to day lives. Its not like they are tremendously wealthy parking them in Waitrose carparks!!!!
