See, I'm disappointed by the baby triple, it's too predictable and IMO doesn't actually look very good- lacks the presence to carry off the brutal look. The Shiver, well, I hate the rear end. Banana seat! Horrible exhausts! But, tail ends swap easily enough. I get tempted by other bikes all the time, this is the first for ages that there's any real chance of me buying. I'd have got one instead of modding the SV if it had existed at the time, put it that way.

im having this argument with my self over the larger version bikes. i love the speed triple, and the apprilia tuono, but im not sure which one i want. Its very similar to these two as well. the triumph street triple i think is slightly more, only by £400, but you look at what you get with the aprilia compared to the triumph, and i would rather go with the aprilia. If any of you have the most recent bike magazine, its a fine example. look at the 10 nakeds competition. behind the bars of the triumph and the aprilia. which one do you prefer?? the triumphs just seem to use cheaper parts compared to the aprila. cheaper bars, cheaper brakes, and yet the aprilia is cheaper. Why?? just because of the fact that it is british made. but the aprilia is italian made!. they really need to reduce their prices.

aprilia shiver - radial mounted brakes, fly by wire, more luxurious looking frame and parts

street triple - standard style brakes, cheaper components, non adjustment forks etc

Aprilia all the way

2-part radial calipers cost the same to make as conventionals, the forks are just slightly more expensive to make but not much really. But, the Aprilia seems to have cut some corners on the suspension- I think TWO reported no adjustment on those forks? Which usually also implies generally cheaper internals. I'd sooner have conventional calipers and better forks if that were the choice.

Horses for courses. I love the idea of the Shiver, just really dislike its looks that much, that I could never bring myself to buy one. Looks too much like a 'trailie' imo. :(

if it is going to be sold for around 5-6 thou, then add £500 and pick up a second hand very new 06/07 tuono for around 6500. much better for your money.
