Is that unorthodox? Thats's what i normally do! sometimes just my 3rd finger and little finger

Depends how I'm riding really. Full out blat is 2 fingers, mainly to blip. Steady bimble & usually 4.

That's what I do. Find it easier to blip the the throttle between thumb and forfinger while braking with outside three. Each to his own I guess.
