You'll find that police officers apply what is known as the 'attitude test'. i.e. anyone who displays a bad attitude is more likely to be inconvenienced. You have the opportunity to demonstrate a good attitude in the first few seconds of contact and it can make a big difference to how you are dealt with.
:thumbsup: There are plenty of scum bags out there for the police to deal with, they don't really want, or need, to tie themselves up with paperwork dealing with basically law abiding people. Hence your polite attitude got you a verbal warning and you were on your way again. |
