Yes twas me allright.

Hehe, that Fiesta light gave me trouble from day one. The light bulb keeps blowing its filament for some reason. There's actually no need for it for it though as the rear light lights up the numberplate real fine on it's own!

Yeh I'm really 19, i've got a good job and still live at home with mother so could afford the bike and insurance. Its £900 tpft with one year no claim that includes all the goodies though breakdown cover ect. I've been riding bikes constantly for 3 years and its my only hobby so I treated myself to the bike.

Top tip for cutting the original undertray...take it right off the bike and use a wood saw starting from the front cutting with the saw laid on the flat bit of the under tray. One easy cut and hardly any trimming and no sealant required in the corners after.

I used 5mm lexan sheet for mine so it would be more rigid ( from work)!!

Re: My **** - tail tidy

Get it powdercoated

I might make a job lot of them if I can get round to it and find some plate...

ging6996 24-06-08 05:30 PM

Re: My **** - tail tidy

no point gettin it powder coated. spray paint will do if ya do a few coats.

i used 1mm steel.
the jigsaw had some fun.

i took all the back fairin off n used a hacksaw blade on the original hugger. prob shoulda warn gloves.
haha.

the guy who made the template needs a medal.

Nothing gives me more pleasure to see how many folks used my template to cut off that fugly plastic and replace it with that smooth thing. leans up the rear nicely. The wife does not agree though, when it rains her back ends up soaked! Sorry guys!

BTW zunkus, how did you make the template, as in how did you draw it ect?

zunkus 24-06-08 09:45 PM

Re: My **** - tail tidy

Would you believe me that the thing started off as an almost freehand drawing!.
What I did is that I took rough measurements and drew them out on a piece of card. Then cut that out as a starter for a template. I then became religious again and started praying that I wouldn't ruin a brand new (at the time) motorcycle by cutting the rear plastic off after dismantling the whole rear end. I then mounted back the rear and tested the cardboard against the hole I created. It was almost ok except for the curvy bit at the end so I taped some more card at that end and re-cut. The template now fitted perfect. I was not happy though before scanning my cutout to my computer and redrew that in Macromedia Freehand. The curves were now much better done now, printed that out on laser printer stuck the print to card, cut and tested again. Perfect. I posted the template for all yea to enjoy.

I work as a radar technician for Eurocontrol but also work as a freelance designer for some big clients such as vodafone, ford, mazda, jaguar, yamaha, P&G, canon, local companies and now virgin drinks. It might sound I'm pretty loaded but the salary is not that much here and with my ever growing family I might say I get by ok. Nothing over the top, I still live in a flat and ride an SV not a Ducati Desmosedici forgodsakes :) Always wondered what it'll be like for me if I was doing the same abroad. Family keeps me here though.

Yes very much so. I design advertorial material, such as adverts, posters, supermarket wobblers, shelf talkers, stationery, billboards etc. I also do illustrations for vodafone mainly.

As a radar technician I'm currently maintaining two radars at a remote site on the west side of the island. It's situated on a cliff face which is a very nice place to be if you like heights. Great views in the morning, and more so the evening when you can see the setting sun on the Mediterranean sea.

I'm attaching these url if you'd like to see the radar.
Did not post pictures directly so I won't disturb the other posters.

...errrmm, can't comment on the jamming business, top secret I'm afraid :)
