Folks, you do realise that if you're adding your name to the list of attendees at this late stage that you must book with the campsite. You can't just turn up on the day and you don't want to be disappointed. Grant specifically mentioned this was a stipulation from the campsite in this post here

to be fair stuart i don't think the campsite would turn down potential revenue by someone not phoning in advance. i think it would be more a case of 'oohh you haven't booked and there is no more pitches left' cenario.

i was up there on sunday for a noisy about and it was empty.

No Bibio - the campsite owner was very specific about booking in advance so we need to respect his wishes. I don't think it's anything to do with losing revenue. Only two campsites were willing to take us this year after the trouble at GM2 so whether that's his reasons or not I don't know. He's set aside a specific area for us this year so that might be another reason. It's only fair we do as he asks.

Only takes a min to ring them and they were very nice.

I'm most probably not able to make it now, do you reckon I should ring them to let them know? I won't know myself for definite until thursday night/friday morning.

We don`t know the reason for them wanting to know numbers but if this is what they`ve requested then I think we need to respect their wishes. It could be something as simple as knowing how many pints of milk or barrels of ale to buy in but whatever the reason we need to be courteous. At the end of the day it only takes a few minutes to make a phone call and i`d hate for anyone to arrive and not be able to pitch up.

i fully agree, but if someone decided at the last minute to go then i doubt that they would be turned away. its only manners to phone and book and i think everyone has.

Well as we are not attending this year ... Due to situation at home etc etc cos we dearly would love to come we just want to say have a great time and be safe and hope the weather is ok for you .

Really jealous because when the sun is shining and you are on your bike on those Scottish roads with those views .... There is nowhere quite like it on earth .
