i'd like England to get it but i don't think they will due to the perception of English fans etc. I'd rather put my money into something like that than some of the other rubbish my taxes go to

I don't consider spending billions of taxpayers money on a few sports venues, in one corner of the country "fun".

Spend the money on facilities across the whole country.

I think there more likely to go with somewhere that already has a stadium. 7 years to build a staduim up to that kind of standard. don't see them going for it. especialy since france already has one thats more than capable

i hope london does get it, it will be the impetus to kick off massive regeneration of thames gateway and new transport systems

plus, i might make some money out of it :wink:

I hope we don't get it. If I were to pay higher taxes then I'd rather they went to a more worthwhile project.
Hopefully in 7 years I'll be ready and able to kick this country into touch once and for all anyway.

Jordan - you are far too cynical. I really doubt that the govenment could be so incompetent as to make an embarassing failure of this. I mean, just look at the spectacular success of the Millennium Dome!
