'alluminum-alloy truss frame'

Wouldn't have expected American English on a UK brochure back in 2000 :p

My precious Sylvie is twenty one years old now and has a little over 30K on the clock. I have tried other bikes (I recently fell in love in love with a Kawasaki Z900 because it looked like a transformer from the movies!), but nothing compares to a well set up SV in terms of fun and comfort.

I am currently working on a 1/10 scale model of my bike made out of paper. I may not get to ride my Sylvie as often as I would like, but making a model of her is great fun, if a little painstaking! :smt049:-({|=

I look forward to seeing the model. Is it standard kit or are you making it from scratch?

That sounds good Jayne, looking forward to the pictures of the finished model.

This is something I am making out of paper, purely scratch built. I did modify a little 1/18 model, but this is bigger and harder. I have made the frame and forks thus far and it has been fun.

It is going to be a while. I'm learning new skills as I do this and I'm quite intimidated by sculpting the engine & body work. :p

I do post some pics of my art on my Instagram occasionally, along with pictures of my bike. :D
